Question 5th Genners with side-view mirror defroster

My switch does not light up nor does it defrost. I'm not sure which fuse to check. There's nothing on the labels that specifies mirror defroster. My rear defroster works and all other power window/mirror functions. Any ideas?

I'd just go through each fuse and see which one is blown, or you may have a bad relay

You're talking about power window motors, right? You can't be talking about engines as we have the 4th best, aka last place.

Well I kind of feel like Japan got the best, and everyone else is tied lol. Every other market has at least 1 200hp* motor, but the USDM motors are all 200hp*

Not really. Japan definitely has the best engines. The H22A8 in Europe is rated slightly higher than ours because of its 11:1 CR. Also the H22Z1 in Australia is rated slightly higher than ours due to a modified ummm header, I think. Both of those engines come with red VCs.

Yep, that's all mine. And one of the many pages I've updated on Wikipedia.

So far I've made changes to the following:
Prelude
Accord
S2000
Integra
H Engine
F Engine
Honda Engines

Soon to correct:
Honda VIN decoding
K Engine

Mine have not been working for a while. I thought it was to do with the interior control module on the back of the fuse box, but when driving this morning I noticed that if I held down the button, rather than letting it click to the on position the light came on and they worked. It could be a fault with the switch?

/\ sounds like a bad relay.

i have an idea!

basically, fuse 9 controls the motors that adjust the mirrors, and the defogging devices. if the motors dont adjust your mirrors, you most likely have a blown fuse. after you deduce it to a blown fuse, you should find out what caused the over current.

check fuse #9 (7.5A) in the "under dash fuse/relay box". if that's not blown, then fuse #33 (50A) is somehow blown.

here's a pitch0r:

It's not a relay, it's the mirror switch itself, there's a diode in the circuit that blows out. You need to get a new mirror switch or change the diode inside the switch.
I just changed the diode in mine because it was easier than finding another switch for cheap.

How do I remove the mirror switch assembly? Can I pop it out individually or does the whole door handle assembly have to pop out first?
