Timing belt slowly moving off cam gears??

I just replaced my timing belt and im having a problem..when I start the car the belt moves about 1/4 inch off the cam gear on the exhaust cam, it pulls it off the intake cam gear as well but not as much.
I dont understand why it is doing this. The auto tensioner works just fine, the water pump is secure and the balancer pulley and crank pulley are both on.

My last belt did this as well, except it moved all the way off and ended up shredding against the timing cover..

Does it have something to do with the cams? Im completely lost on this matter..
If anyone has run into this problem and fixed it let me know..thnx.

Ive done some research but no one seems to have an answer

This issue was being discussed in another thread here recently. I haven't look at the thread in a few days or more, so I'm not sure if there are any recent discoveries on this or not.

Just out of curiosity, did you install a new auto-tensionor, or re-install the old one?

Used the old one but its a new old one if that makes sense. Its only been on the car for about 10k miles if that.

Tell them to adjust what? I changed it myself, the only thing I could possibly adjust is the tensioner, but that is wroking just fine.
And really I cant adjust it since its an auto tensioner.

I agree that the manual conversion is a great idea, but there are a few other members who have had this issue even with the manual conversion.
