I'm talking to a member here (danktank) about his BBQ connection so no one will have to worry about bringing a grill or meat or anything. That should only be like $3-$5 a person.

Iowa is looking to be a good bet but its boring and far for the colorado guys.

Longitude I think is perfect in terms of NE and IA

If they have a south meet then We don't have to worry about texas but I doubt they'd come up here anyways

The question is how many days?

Events?

Hotels?


Now that Im looking at it if we dont have to worry about OK or TX then either SD or NE

July is fine. I'm open to anything. I just said Chicago cuz they do HIN there with a drift demo (one of the few) so I figure there's a good track there and I'm sort of familiar with the area. If NE is bad for weather and we do it there well need to set aside two weekends.

i rather kill myself than drive all the way though iowa. Nebraska or in iowa would be fine but. im not being bias or anything but Ne is a good center point and is the true Midwest imo other might disagree though. plus maybe we can get those 500+ hp ludes from denver i think there are like 2-3. idk we should have a vote or somthing.

here is what i think, i think we should think of 5 or so places, then research these 5 places and see if they have any good back roads for crusing or must see places while we are there because it would be a vacation for me.

If you decide to do it in NE, I got a couple friends in Lincoln. I know there is a drag strip there, and downtown is booming in the summertime, there are some nice cruising areas. I could talk to him about maybe seeing if he could work something out.

He is the head of his department at Speedway Motors...he works in the Honda department, so that could be very good. If you are looking for sponsors, I could see about them lending a hand.

im signed up for chicagopreludeclub but have to wait for permission to post. find out about NE and ill see about Chicago. I'm kind of thinking NE should be more east coast or north east coast. Someone should organize a NE meet.

No idea if they'd rent to us though.

Weekend thing. The US is divided into 4 regions by the USCB and Chicago is the population center of the Midwest AKA central US. That's why I think it would be good there (wiki "Midwest") and it being such a big city I assume it would be a bigger turnout than a smaller city. Plus there's an ass load of Chicago luders so if you guys end up not feeling like driving there, there should still be a decent turn out.

Ok I didn't see the IA post. That would be fine I'm not dead set on Chicago, as long as we can get a good turn out I don't care. I still haven't posted on Chicago prelude club and we have until the summer to decide and set stuff up. What timeframe sounds good to everyone? I'm thinking between may and July, leaning towards end of June beginning of July. But that's just me. What works for everyone else?

I plan on putting all updates in my first post. I know I have a lot of work to do. Lude1990 where abouts in IA is that track? Would we all want to put in to rent it for a day?

it is about 30 min south of the omaha council bluffs area in pacific juction IA very easy to find. And yes it is worth going to I have personally not been on the road course yet and the drag strip is only 1/8 mile. But it is worth renting for the day. Do you want me to find out if we can get it and how much and all that info??? Ill help plan this if you need help and stuff.
