Origanaly this wasnt a big deal to me. But i got dragged on through the November banner thread, and I think that it belongs here. Since we have a mod throwing his weight around without coming up with a solution. Instead of Mods being dicks to people, how bout you come up with a solution, Mike?

Back on point:

If there are a set of rules, they need to be followed! If they are going to be broken, or changed for different people, eliminate the rules all together!

Ok, well here is your first post here in the suggestions thread. In the original rules it says that you must have 150 post and be a member for 6 months. You then changed it to 3 months and 100 post.

The whole issue people were asking was why did someone who didnt fit in the cleary stated rules win POTM? He had like 70 post or something.

Still want to say no rules have been changed for any member ever?

I really didnt care about this when I first heard about it, but then it kind of blew up and got my attention. The more I read about it, the more I realized that rules were broken and it seemed to be ok. When on this very site people are getting banned left and right for breaking rules? Or getting banned for nothing at all??

What good are a set of rules for POTM or for PP in general if only a few of them will get held up.

I have nothing to do with members getting banned, i cant ban them. I am not a site moderator, just a prelude of the month moderator.

I will say again, i never changed rules for a member. I wrote that before last months more or less as an idea. Unfortunately, there is no concrete rule in the posts/join date area for the older gens. So if you guys have ideas give them to me.

the post count/join date requirement should follow through for all gens. there are a shit ton of 3rd gens on this site. if no one gets nominated they there is no older gen category. easy as that. no need to nominate a bunch of cars that def dont deserve to win.

I wanst saying you were responsible for banning members. Just using as an example.

As far as you saying there is no rule for third gens and older, well there shouldnt be seperate rules. And as it sits now, there is only one thread for rules, with no specific generation to it. So therfor, it only would apply to all, not just certain people.

You may have meant your 100 post thing to be just an idea, but it made it into the only POTM rule thread, Prelude of the Month Rules and Guidelines [Updated October 08]. So I, along with many other people take that as the offical rules for everybody. And with you being the Mod of potm, you should have known this. Hell it was your own idea....

I honestly dont care if its 100 or 150. As long as the rules get held up. I along with a lot of other people had to wait to be elligable, and it should be that way for the rest. thats what my concern is. The actual number doesnt bother me.
