Had this eBay muffler sitting around for a while, and had the mechanic who was already working on my car weld it on. Here's the link to thesame one I have: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DTM-T...83563257QQrdZ1

I hate coffee can ricer tips and thought this one would be a little better...anyway here's some clips, it dark outside, plus i'm in my driveway and my parents told me not to be revving my car, so I only hit maybe 2.5k rpm's, i'll get some daytime redline clips this weekend, and maybe some in car cruising vids.

Car at idle:
http://s24.photobucket.com/albums/c2...t=MVI_1104.flv

Up to 2.5k rpm's:
http://s24.photobucket.com/albums/c2...t=MVI_1105.flv

So far i'm happy with it, it looks clean, not too ricey, and so far it doesn't sound THAT bad, especially for only $40.

Edit: forgot to mention what else it has.

Just FYI, the tip is all I have done in the way of exhaust, stock from the header back. Only other mods done that could possibly affect the sound would be my LSD intake, but even that wouldn't make a big difference.

Updates this weekend, later.

reguardless of what you heard.... the rev limiter is NOT your friend.

you two should avoid meeting at all costs.

otherwise, it sounds good.

our preludes are a battle for a good tone in the exhaust, ive hard a hard time lol
ive tried the dynomax, magnaflow and now i recently swapped to an ApexI WS muffler.

When I swapped to the Apex I, i started up the car and it was raspy at high rpm jus from reving the engine i was like omg, this muffler was supposed to be quiet lol

I then I had to put a huge magnaflow resonator, its like 2 ft long in the mid pipe to get rid of the raspyness.

I'll be upgrading my exhaust to a full 3" setup. I'll try and do mostly all resonator. It's going to be heavy for sure but I'll remove some more metal to help my pig prelude.

Very nice Mario. Nice to see those numbers well before its rev limit. Makes me wonder how the H23 will respond??

so I set to find a factory "premuffler" I know I've seen them before on various vehicles. I found just what I was looking for on a nissan maxima.
It was a 24"x6" premuffler not shaped like a glasspack, straight though, with a preforated tube, and completely hollow It has brand Calsonic on it...
I was pleased with the sound, this is the aeroturbine and calsonic silensor thingy.

Do you think i could use magnaflow part # 12615 as a good alternative to the "maxima pre muffler"

I want a setup that's close to stock (in terms of quietness) so I'm thinking of mimicking your setup but using that magnaflow as a resonator..

do you think it will be quiet enough for my tastes?

Nice sounding prelude. Kind of off topic, but what kind of gauge faces are those?

As long as it fits underneath the body then it will help a lot, but the only thing I see is using the longest resonator you can and possibly adding a smaller resonator to fill the space where the long one does not cover.

I thought It was about time I posted my exhaust sound clip

This system is 3" tubing from the cat-back. I used a 3" Moroso Spiral Flo inplace of a resonator and a ebay special Type-RS 3"in, dual 3" out stainless muffler. All bends are mandrel bent. Keep in Mind that this exhaust system is over 6 years old and the packing in the muffler is likely completely spent. It is a lot louder than it used to be and I'm planning a 2.5" version of this setup to better utilize the midrange of the B20A3.
