okay i got my catback put on yesterday with megan gt muffler and it sounds great but its too quiet. i unbolted the silencer and trued to pull it out with all sorts of tools. I WANT THIS THING OFF can someone please give me a tip how to get the damn thing out. i pulled so hard it felt like i was oging to break the welds. please help
i did but i could hear the welds crack. its in there real good it just wont come out. i saw a civic at the gym w/o silencer and it made me feel even more frustrated >= / ill look for something long with a hook on it i guess. *sigh
dont pull it to hard at once, keep on yanking it out slowly keep on doing that and eventually the metal will come loose.I had a hard time getting mine out too hope that work for you.
k ill try agian after i cut the grass.. this will be the 3rd time >.< ill have my friend hold the muffler this time so i can pull hard without breaking the welds
what the problem probally is, is where the bolt was to hold silencer in, the metal bends and holds it in place try spinning it as well as pulling it. if u know ur not gonna want it in there ever again u can take a screwdriver and bend the bottom of silencer where the screw was holding it in
i got it off just a few minutes ago. i soaked it with dw40 as mentioned above. then i sat and put both feet on the tip. and pulled till it slid out. that thing was in there good... damn.. sounds great though its a loud powerful tone. almost too loud... hope i dont get pulled over. thx for the help guys
